RC Comp Chain Conversion Kit for 2009–Present Harley Touring
Ditch the belt without tearing the rear end apart. The RC Comp Chain Conversion Kit turns a 2009-and-newer Harley-Davidson Touring model from stock belt drive to a 530 chain drive while keeping the factory cush drive in the wheel.
The 53-tooth rear sprocket is built to drop into the stock Touring cush drive setup and plug straight into the wheel. No custom hub, no swingarm mods, no “adapter plate circus.” Pair it with the included 25-tooth front sprocket and you get a ratio right in line with stock belt gearing—strong pull off the line without turning the bike into a short-geared drag special.
That’s the point of this kit: more driveline strength for big-inch and high-horsepower baggers, easier maintenance than a belt, and a clean install on the wheel you already have.
What’s in the kit
- 53-tooth rear chain sprocket — designed for the stock Harley Touring cush drive; bolts into the factory wheel
- 25-tooth front / transmission sprocket
- Near-stock 25/53 final drive ratio for 2009–present Touring
Why convert a Touring bike to chain Belts are quiet until they aren’t. Once you add horsepower, a wider tire, or both, a belt becomes the weak link. A 530 chain conversion gives you:
- Stronger power transfer for built Twin Cam and Milwaukee-Eight baggers
- A driveline you can inspect, lube, and replace without dropping the swingarm
- Fitment that works with the stock cush drive already in the wheel
Fitment Fits 2009–present Harley-Davidson Touring models with the factory cush drive rear wheel, including:
- Street Glide / Street Glide Special
- Road Glide / Road Glide Special
- Road King / Road King Special
- Electra Glide / Ultra Limited
- Other FL Touring models using the stock cush drive hub
Works with the factory rear wheel and most aftermarket wheels that retain the OEM Touring cush drive. This is not the internal-cush Laguna wheel system — this kit is for bikes keeping the stock-style cush drive in the wheel.
Notes for listing / checkout
- Requires a 530-series chain (cut to fit). High-quality O-ring or X-ring chain recommended. Chain sold separately unless you bundle it.
- Confirm axle adjustment range after install; 25/53 is intended to sit in a usable part of the stock adjuster window.
- Chain and sprocket maintenance matters. Keep it adjusted and lubricated.
